Vacancy: Back-end Developer

Insocial is going at it like a rocket! Given the growth of our customer base and because we keep innovating with new features, we are therefore looking for a Back-end Developer. You will work on different projects, but will mainly focus on building new features. A challenging job!

Is programming your second language?

As a Back-end developer at Insocial you are the mastermind behind our product. We deliver Customer Experience software. With this we help the finest organizations to map and improve the customer experience. You are mainly involved in automating the customer feedback process of our customers, making data manageable and readable and translating concepts into technology.

You will be working in a passionate and welcoming dev team. You will also work together with other departments such as marketing, customer success and sales, to jointly get the new technologies off the ground for our customers. And not to mention working on our own security. Building walls and digging ditches against malicious hackers!

Ultimately, you'll ensure that our customers collect thousands of reviews a day without anyone even doubting that everything is functioning. Plus, you'll be helping us to keep improving and optimizing our systems. So, ready to create some serious stuff?


The perfect candidate:

  • Has at least 5 years of experience with PHP and Object Orientated Programming;
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (preference to Symfony/Symfony4, Laravel, Zend or CakePHP);
  • knowledge of programming architectures and common design patterns;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MySQL database design and implementation;
  • is competent with revision control systems (preferably Git);
  • likes to play with new technologies and trends such as distributed systems, NLP, caching;
  • is driven and able to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines;
  • Is willing to take responsibility for his/her product 24/7..
